Greetings! I am Lisa Sniderman, aka Aoede, pronounced (A-E-D). If you’re a fan of Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, Feist, A Fine Frenzy, Lily Allen, I hope my enchantingly quirky soprano voice and compelling pop music for your heart will resonate with you, as well.
Why Aoede? Once upon a time, in Greek mythology, way before the 9 celebrated muses, there was a muse named Aoede: the first “muse of song.” I chose this name both to inspire you to do whatever is inside your soul and to remember to be continually inspired.
My latest album: “Is Love A Fairy Tale?” (Sep 2012) tells the story of Aoede the Muse who goes searching for love in a magical kingdom called Wonderhaven and meets colorful characters along the way: Morpheus, Binkle, Albert, Mr. Wonderful, Amala, and Ghost Skeletons, who also sing with Aoede. It is geared towards tweens and young adults and is the recipient of three Children’s awards! I hope you will check out my New Album Website along with music videos, my musings blog and other acclaimed albums such as Skeletons of the Muse (Apr 2012).
Thanks for being part of my journey!
