Aoede is the rare breed of artist who can shatter the pre conceived notions and prejudices of the audience, enrapturing the crowd. Aoede’s music has no pretense; it is real and tender. Honest songwriting involves baring one’s own demons for all the world to see and hear. Only by making oneself vulnerable can an artist truly connect with a listener in a meaningful way. Aoede has learned this lesson, and Push and Pull is a collection of songs that break the wall between an artist and the audience.
Aoede is the San Francisco trio consisting of Lisa Sniderman, David Sands, and John Walden. Lisa’s intensely personal, emotional, and mature songwriting is perfectly complemented by John and David’s dark and moody grooves. Lisa is cofounder of WomenROCK – the Bay Area Women’s Music and Art collective – and an active member in the Bay Area music scene.
